Long press on the map to drop a pin at a location and quickly tag it with a color or icon. This makes it easy to quickly orient yourself with your car or campsite because it follows the bezel of the watch when it's out of view.

The pin will show on the edge of the screen when it is out of frame. To control when these are shown visit Settings > Pin Settings. Choose from "Never", 10mi, 20mi, and 50mi.

Export

Select the share button in the top right to export the list of pins as a GPX file. On the watch they can be sent through iMessage and on the phone they can be shared or saved to any app.
