Map Styles / Basemaps

Mappa has a few styles (basemaps) and layers to choose from to make it easier to navigate terrain.

Map Style Settings

Watch

Swipe the left edge of the screen, then tap on "Maps"

Phone

Go to Settings > Map Style

Measure

Drag the map to get the distance and elevation gain to that point.

Track Heading

Tap the user location or compass buttons in the bottom right to switch between north orientation or heading orientation.

When the screen is active it will use the built in compass to orient the map. When the screen is dimmed it will use your moving direction so the next time you raise your wrist it's oriented correctly.

The dimmed screen can be customized using the Always On Display settings.

Location Details

Long press on the map to view the location's altitude, coordinates, drop a pin, create a route, or share the coordinates (as a GPX file).

Tap on the coordinates to toggle between three display options.
