Battery Life
The display and network requests have the largest affect on battery life. If you're doing a long workout and want to save battery there are a few optimizations you can make.
- Download map tiles before the workout. Even if you're using the watch on LTE it can save battery for your workout because it will download all of the tiles at once vs continuously waking up the radio to download tiles.
- Turn on Offline Mode. Once the tiles are downloaded, turn on Offline Mode to make sure no new tiles are downloaded during the workout.
- Customize the Always-On-Display settings. Additional dimming of the display for the map or completely hiding it can save a lot of battery.
