Slope Angle Shading is a map layer displays color coded ranges of terrain steepness which can help when identifying avalanche terrain or challenging sections of a hike.

The Slope Angle Shading layer is a rough approximation and only shows slope steepness—not snowpack, weather, or terrain traps. Use at your own risk; always travel with proper gear, partners, and informed decision-making.
